2022 World Nines Confederation Cup

World Nines playing for the Confederation Cup Apia Samoa 2022 date TBA but will be a stand alone event which excludes all NRL and Super League registered players, male & female. Expressions of Interest (EOI) will be forwarded to full member nations of the International Rugby League (IRL) & those  that are Affiliates at this moment namely Brazil, Canada, United States (2) .

Those of Observer nations status ,mainly Argentina, India, Japan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu will receive EOI The People’s Republic of China will be invited.The Australian Team will consist of at least one player from each state of , Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, and Northern Territory. ACT now NSWRL. The Affiliated team logistics and management is by NSWRL and QRL process.

Samoa continues to provide  athletes to the three Oval ball nations of NRL, World Rugby, and NFL Unprecedented in a nation of just 190,000 which has survived Tsunamis, measles epidemic that took many children and along with other Pacific nations suffered greatly with their main industry of tourism during Covid 19.

The Future in the Pacific The strategy for the future is a Training Hub in the Pacific Region to empower men and women in the wider area access to rugby league and Sports Training including media. This to enable Pacific people to become qualified at a home environment and be  in readiness for International Opportunities in every sports role. The start is world nines.com
